Ralph Watts was born May 13, 1931 in Prentiss Mississippi to reverend Crafus Watts and Mae Turnbough-Watts, both preceding him in death. He was the second to youngest child of five siblings four of which preceded him in death , Ruby, Cedrick, Celester and Steve.
He moved to Chicago at a young age and became a counslor at St. Leonard house located on Chicago's Westside. In his later years he became a security specialist providing his services to local businesses.
Ralph was a family man and a loving father of four children: Ralph Jr., Diane, Kamisha, and Eric who he affectionally called Turkey Tom as a nickname.
In the summer of 1999 He united in marriage to Patsy Carter- Watts who also precedes him in death.
Ralph was a honest man and always kept it real even at the point of a sword. He was upright, independant, and fearless. He believed that life could be full of hard knocks and foul balls so he pushed you to be your very best under all circumstances.
Ralph knew that there was no failure for man unless man failed himself. He taught it, preached it, and lived it.
Ralph leaves to cherish his memories four children Ralph Terrell Williams Jr., and Diane Morris of Grand Rapids MI and Eric Emery and Kamisha Thompson of Chicago. A host of inlaws including Dariyana Tillman, William Bryant and Tamara Williams whom he accepted as his own children . He also leaves a troop of loving grandchildren to carry on his memory, Rosha Crawford, Maliah Williams, Makenna Williams, Myah Walker, Shahari Morris, Takeem Moore, Tijunae Otterbridge, Amir Nixon all of Grand Rapids MI: Also Timothy Miles III, Eric Emery Jr, Quintin Emery, Jahmir Emery, and Kazen Emery all of Chicago. Three great, great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
