Mary M. Parker was born on July 3, 1944 in Leland, MS to the proud parents of Beatrice (Curly B.) Williams and John Henry Sylvester, Sr. Both parents preceded her in death.
Mary accepted Christ as her savior at an early age. She received her education in Leland, MS and later relocated to Chicago in the late 1960s.

Mary M. Parker made her transition from this earth on January 30, 2022. She gained her wings to join her six sisters: Virginia Sylvester, Corrine Sylvester, Clareen Montgomery, Catherine Montgomery, Arletta Montgomery, and Emma Mae Adams; two brothers: John Henry Sylvester Jr., and Robert Montgomery.
Mary leaves behind three children: Shantae Parker-Gill (Dana Sr.), Shekeita Parker, and Antonio Gordon; Eight grandchildren: Emmanuel Jr., Dana, Noah, Lydia, Dante Jr., Xavier, Antonio Jr., and Kiaya; Four sisters: Carrie Thomas (Sam), Lucille Montgomery, Minnie Pearl Stanton, and Reatha Mae Adams; and two brothers: Clarence Sylvester and James Sylvester; and a host of nieces and nephews.
