Mae West Hester-Wiliams
Mae West Williams Hester was born on April 6, 1962 in Jackson, Mississippi to the wonderful parents of J.D. Williams and Mary Williams Coleman. She was the 6th child out of 13.
Mae was the linchpin that held everything and everyone together. No matter what she was going through, she was always kind and generous. She will continue to leave an eternal impression on everyone. Her heart was so big and filled with so much love to give. Every single quality she displayed shows how caring, compassionate and dedicated she was. She was a strong black woman from the south, with southern values and hospitality. Best known for those strong hugs and those kisses with red lipstick and black lining. You could never forget hex famous phases, Hey LOVE For 'No LOVE:. She made sure she kept plenty of candy and sweets for all the children, even if they weren't hers.
Mae's favorite place was the lake. She loved stepping. She enjoyed being around her family, listening to music and going to her all time favorite place, The Casino.
Mae altended George T. Donoghue Elementary School in 1977. She received her high school diploma from Wendell Phillips High School in 1981. Awhile later, she attended Kennedy-King
College.
Mae received her wings and was called home to be with the Lord on January 2, 2022. She was an Amazing Wife, Mothex, Daughter, Nanna, Sister, Aunt and Cousin.
Mae leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Robert Hester (deceased): mother, Mary Williams Coleman: father. J.D. Williams: children. Michele and Matthew Williams (Swahili): Godson, Thaddeus (deceased); grandchildren, Novely, Jaharee, Lexia, Niahila, Ty'Kick, Matthew Jr. and Malachi; siblings, Josie lee, Rose Mack-Ballard (Thomas). Demoisce Brookins. James E. Williams (deceased), Lillie Pearson(Willie), Mary Lou Hernandez, Roosevelt Williams (Tiar), J.D.Williams (deceased wife, Melissa), Shirley Williams, Annie Williams (Leonta) and Robert
Coleman; with a host of loving nieces and nephews, cousins and special friends.
