Joshua Darnell Johnson

Joshua Darnell Johnson was born on April 17, 1990 to the union of Curtis and Chelmer Johnson at Little Company of Mary Hosptial in Chicago. Illinois. Joshua, affectionately known as Josh, accepted Christ as a child ans was baptized at Saint John Baptist Church. He received his education from William H. Brown Elementary School, graduated on to Martin Luther King High School followed by Harold Washington College. 
 

Josh had a passion for art, music, cooking and gaming, in particularly, retro video games and 90’s music. Over the years he called hundreds of video games for each system while developing quite a following on YouTube of gaming enthusiasts where he was known as “Dr. Josh Da Real Gamer”. Josh loves to cook and was an avid baker who was always sharing  his creations with neighbors. True to his nature, he maintained a remarkable memory and loved memorizing super statistics as well as birthdays. He could recall stats on the spots for just about any celebrated player or team. 
 

Joshua transitioned from his physical life on Monday, July 13,2020. He leaves to cherish his bright smile and joyous memories: his grandparents Vernadus and Odessia Johnson; parents Curtis and Chelmer Johnson; one sister Tonisha Montgomery; three brothers Curtis Johnson, Jr., Antwon Johnson and Andre Johnson; three aunts Katrina Johnson, Kimla Walker and Evelyn Linnear; one uncle Darryl McDuffie; and a host of loving cousins and friends.
