Life’s Reflections
Jesse Carter was born on June 13, 1962 in Chicago, IL to his loving mother Corine Carter. Jesse had a very special relationship with his mother. He was her pride and joy and she affectionately nicknamed him “Birdie”. This is a name that carried into his adulthood and was known by all of Jesse’s family.
Jesse was the youngest of six children. As a young child, Jesse loved listening to his records as he enjoyed his favorite drink, which was a cold orange pop. He was a very curious child who enjoyed exploring the world around him. He had an impeccable memory and could recall the birthdays of all his family members.
Jesse faced many challenges in his life, but he was very strong and pushed through life’s many obstacles. God created Jesse in His own way, but he was special in God’s eyes and was loved by his family no matter what. In adulthood, Jesse spent many years attending Bobby E. Wright Center in Chicago, where he received much support throughout his life.
Jesse fought a good fight until the Lord called him home on October 18, 2022.
He was preceded in death by his mother Corine Carter and his eldest sister Arlene Carter. To cherish Jesse’s memories he leaves three brothers, Frank Carter Sr, Herman Carter and Sherman Carter. He also leaves one sister Ivory Jean Werra and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
