Inell Melton

Inell Pool was born on June 6, 1946 to the late Adock Pool and Mahallie Epps-Pool of West Point, MS. 

She confessed hope in Christ at an early age and attended Mt. Pisgah MB Church until later in life when she married.

Inell graduated from Fifth Street High School in 1964 then went on to work at Knickerbocker Manufacturing Company for several years.  Inell was united in holy matrimony to Theodis Melton on April 8, 1968 until his passing in 2005.  She dedicated her life to her husband and children ensuring home life ran smoothly all while raising two energetic boys.  Later in life Inell decided to enroll in college at Westwood College in Calumet City, IL.   Inell graduated in2013 with a BA in Criminal Justise

She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her sons, Gene Pool, Sr. Chicago, IL and Chan Melton, Atlanta, her oldest grandchild who she raised as if he were a son, Gene Pool, Jr, Chicago, IL, Brother Joe Pool (Eunice), West Point, MS, special niece, Anita Sistrunk (Ronnie), Chicago, IL, special cousins Mary Everson, Dorothy “Matt” Harris, Sally Epps, grandchildren (A’Shantee Tayen King, Darious Melton, Shyheim Melton, Shykia Gardner, Damarion Stokes, Shicola Rush and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, In-laws, Godchildren and friends.

The loved ones who preceded her in death are her husband Theodis Melton, parents Adock Pool and Mahallie Epps-Pool,  three sisters – Bernice Pool, Della Primous, Mattie Jamison,  three brothers - Fred Moore, Clyde Moore, Nelson Pool and special cousins Corrine Harris-Macon, Tom Epps and John Harris.
