Beatrice W Borum

Beatrice Winfrey Borum was born on April 21, 1936  in Kilmichael, Mississippi to Vendee Winfrey and Elzonia Dunn Winfrey (Both proceeded her in death). She was the 5th eldest of 12 siblings, she was proceeded in death by 8 brothers, Harvey Winfrey, William Winfrey, Joe Winfrey, Jonathan Winfrey, O.W. Winfrey, Elmore Winfrey, Jimmy Winfrey, Nathaniel Winfrey and 4 sisters, Ora Bell Dunn, Mae Bell Beckon, Willie Bell Winfrey and Ethel Winfrey Garrett.

Beatrice accepted Christ at an early age and with her family went to Springhill M.B. Church, Winona, Mississippi which is still in the same location today. She also attended Springhill School, Winona, Mississippi.

Beatrice was married to her husband, Billy Borum, Sr. for over 25 years. They were truly soul mates and loved traveling together. 

Beatrice worked several jobs, but she was happy to be the co-owner with her husband, Mr. Billy Borum, Sr. of Borum Lounge located at 8858 S. Ashland, Chicago, IL  which he owned for 42 years. Also, she worked hard in the cotton fields of Winona and Sweatman, Mississippi.  She later moved to Chicago, IL.  

Beatrice loved clothes and shoes.  She loved shopping especially at  Resale Stores. Her basement was filled with racks and racks of clothes. 

Beatrice leaves to cherish her memory, a devoted husband, Billy Borum, Sr., two step children, Billy Borum, Jr. and Denette Borum, one sister-in-law, Minnie Winfrey; several nieces, Regina (Alan) Kent, Linda Spann, Diane (J.T.)  Winfrey-Thornton, Denise (Moe) Beason, Regina Winfrey, Kim Winfrey, Olivia Winfrey-Lewis, one nephew, Reginald Winfrey, many great nieces & nephews, cousins and friends.
